Jags +2850 to win the Super Bowl...Thoughts?

The Jags are +2850 at the Greek. I dont care if the Pats may be the best team ever you WILL NOT win the Super Bowl if you can not run the ball...PERIOD. The way to beat the Pats is ball control and defense and the Jags do it best by controling the clock by pounding the ball with Taylor and MJD, Garrard just doesnt make mistakes and thier defense is looking TOUGH. Although I think the Colts also have a good shot the Jags at +2850 has ALOT of value.

Thoughts?

Tom Brady is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. I wouldn't bet against him. What you say may have been true 10 years ago, but times have changed. Jags will likely have to win 3 playoff games on the road. That is a tough task. Having said that, I would put a little on the Jags at that price.

If I'm the Pats, this is the team I fear.
Jax plays the type of defense that could give NE trouble.

jax pass D is too vulnerable. When they sit back in hat zone you can pick them apart. Tampa did it, Saints did it, Indy did it, NE would do it as well. I've seen this Jax bit before and I don't buy it.

I dont think they will "sit back in that zone". I expect ALOT of man and bumping at the line.

With a healthy Stroud, this would be a great play, is still good though without him. With a healthy Stroud this team would DESTROY New England's interior line. We are talking no running game and pressure on Brady all night.

They can't cover.

I fear the Jags because they run the ball well ... but a 14-0 lead will put a stop to that stuff.
