Anyone noticed a trend by books to limit players' access to their bet history?

It seems like more and more books are limiting our ability to review past wagers, usually making the cutoff at wagers that are over two weeks old. Bodog, Betus/Omni, even 5dimes have all adopted this policy.

Why are the books doing this? I guess I don't understand what their perceived advantage is that would offset the annoyance some of us feel at not being able to review our (own) old bets.

I don't know for sure but would guess it is probably a matter of saving bandwith or server memory (whatever it is called). Here at the Rx.com our search function only shows the last 70 posts by a poster or a keyword for that very reason. There is only so much old data servers can keep available. Two weeks does seem to be a fairly brief cutoff time though.

Personally I would contact the book where I wanted to see a more extended wagering history and ask them if the information is available and if it was, how do I access it.

thanks, wil. i'll definitely heed your experience. did you know that for every post i've ever made here, you've made 15,460? it's actually a surprisingly weird feeling to be on the short end of a 15,460 to 1 ratio. not the kind of thing a guy expects in the normal run of things.
