Getting very tired of being on the ball, which is what it takes to make money at betting. Had 30 years running Betting shops, 20 as my own and seen about everything there is to see in bookmaking from wasters to Pros, squares to sharps and plenty in between. Add in some smart Bookmaking angles that even Pinny hasnt thought of and I think there is a good basis for a Book, certainly a better read than whats out there now. Trouble is I type like a snail and My English is terrible, any offers?

And fuck off JJ, no wasters need apply. :drink:

Are you thinking about an actual print copy or a PDF that can be downloaded from the Internet?
There is a huge market for ebooks, you can reach the masses with out having to worry about finding a publisher.
If you sell well online then it would be easy to get a print edition in stores or on Amazon.

If you are serious have one of the Mods to give you my email address, I may know a guy :103631605

It terms of getting "Payed" I'm sure we could work out something that's fair for both of us, a percentage deal based on sales maybe.

its just that when I write things down they dont seem to be as funny as they were like one of my till hands dell boy having to wear a patch over his Eye because he got Shingles. As nobody was going to his Till, the others were over busy and a Girl who had a broken leg from jumping out of an upstairs Window to avoid her estranged Hubby the week before, got pissed and threw Her plastered Leg up on the counter in annoyance. Through all this, a regular Indian Punter called Onion Bhaji celebrating the winner got chinned by the Board chalker who had put his wages on the first losing favourite of the Day. To think that all I had to do was concentrate on the bets coming in on the Phones and across the counter. :drink:

So are you thinking educational? Teaching the sheep how to bet/book? Or did you want to treat the book like a memoir where you are giving the reader a glimpse into your 30+ years as a bookie?
Or treat it like an edutainment, tell an entertaining anecdote and then have it lead into a lesson about gambling.
Like the Indian bloke and the Board Chalker you could then lead into a story about the value of the dogs. Or the kid who had shingles could lead into the importance of getting your bet in at the right time and the right number...maybe somebody who was at the back of the line missed the number by half a point because they didn't want to queue up at Patch's till.

SOSH (Sons Of Sam Horn, a popular Red Sox forum) wrote and published a book about themselves and their forum. The book contains several poster quotes, and the threads and arguements they had been through together as a group etc.

I dont see why we cant do the same.

What should the title of the book be? What should chapter one be about.
