Thinking about it today and I don't have a single person I hang out with that is an NBA fan. Even my buddies who watch football and baseball and anything else under the sun won't touch the NBA. Is there anyone on the boards that actually prefers it to other sports?

I love to bet the NBA. I'm not quite sure why you would take the NFL over the NBA. I love the fact that in the NBA that EVERY team makes a run at some point. In the NFL especially this year the teams are horrible. There are 4 good teams and then a ton of mediocre teams. If you were stranded on a Island I don't think there are many people who would choose Baseball just not enough action.

I said the same thing on here a year ago. I thought the NBA was dying sport. I know as a teen I was huge NBA fan back in the late 80's and thru the years I now cant stand to watch. I have tried to get back into it but it is not there but I will say day in and day out it is my best sport gambling wise as the oppurtunites are there and results for what I do, so I do have some infatuaion for it but too answer your question hands down it would be the NFL. I get depressed this time of the year with it ending and knowing Sundays will not be the same.

Love the NBA here. Most profitable sport and the game has never been played at a higher level than it is now. Would barely lean NFL over it though, if I had to choose would take NBA as there are more games and most importantly by far my largest profit maker year in and year out. Since I cap by scouting, my bottom line would get decimated if I couldn't watch.

I have not seen one single NBA game this year. I won't even start watching college hoops until March.

I'm in the same boat Jake. Me and my group of friends used to be huge NBA and college hoops fans, but we had lakers, celtics, bad boys, jordan. Now we talk about the NFL draft. I'm not even interested in the NBA until June, and there is still a month left to watch.

Wasn't this thread about which sport you would watch, not bet? I very rarely watch the NBA anymore. I pretty much stopped watching the NBA in 1996. I would say that college and pro football would top the list for me.

I guess skip Bayless and I are the only guys watching the NBA. Far superior athletes in the NBA. I love watching fastbreaks. half court Offense. The nuances of the game like the pick-n-Roll. NFL is a amateur hour sport for betting. You got fukkin grandmothers and priests that bet it. To be good at handicapping the NBA takes talent. Day-to-Day grind. I love it.

The NBA is usually a free throw contest. It is controlled by the refs who can and usually call a foul every trip down the court.

These guys can't even shoot the ball. Basketball from about the 80's and before required people who could shoot the ball. If there was no dunking in todays game some of these guys would shoot 10%.

NBA is basically the bottom for me. I enjoy the playoffs sometimes, but have zero interest in the regular season.

NBA regular season is unwatchable. Some of the playoffs series are good but the regular season is akin to watching paint dry
