Journeyman heavyweight Robert Hawkins (23-10, 7 KOs), who took the fight on late notice, outworked former contender Dominick Guinn (28-6-1, 19 KOs) over ten rounds on Friday night at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, British Columbia. Hawkins, who had lost six of his last seven, won by scores of 97-93, 99-91, 100-90. Guinn, once considered a bright light in the heavyweight division, is now 4-6-1 in his last eleven and has lost two straight. <HR width="50%">Late sub Louis Sargeant (9-11-2, 2 KOs) surprisingly upset veretan Darrel Woods (26-12, 18 KOs) in a super middleweight bout. Sargeant dropped Woods in round one and worked him over for the rest of the fight. Woods did not come out for round five. <HR width="50%">Middleweight Bryon Tyson moved to 9-0-1, 4 KOs when Claudio Ortiz (6-15, 2 KOs) was DQ'd in round four for repeated fouls. Ortiz has now lost eight straight.</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>
