Bowl Teasers are killing me

I am a small time local. Anyways, people have been killing me with teasers in the Bowl games. All these clowns are doing is teasing the favorites with 7 points (-140).

Utah -8 tease to -1 Winner
FAU -3 tease to +4 Winner
Cincinnatti -11 tease to -4 Winner
New Mexico -2.5 tease to +4.5 Winner 1
BYU -6 tease to +1 Winner
Boise St. -11 tease to -4 Loser
Purdue -8 tease to -1 Winner
Texas -2.5 tease to +4.5 Winner
BC -5 tease to +2 Winner
Oregon St. -5 tease to +2 Winner
TCU -6 tease to +1 Winner

10-1 by my calculation.

I know the juice will kill them if they are losing, they basically need to hit 60% to make a little bit of profit.

Are the lines so tight right now that teasers are a great value?

Do these clowns just have a horseshoe up their asses?

Are they actually onto something?

In my experience teasers are bets that can keep bookmakers from sleeping due to their streakiness. I agree -140 juice should solve that problem with long term play, but when the hot players start bumping up their teaser bets and they keep kicking your ass, all the math in your favor just hurts that much more.

I will keep tracking the favorites in a 7 point teaser throughout the bowl games.

Last night was the worst, no matter which way you teased the game, you would have won.

Thanks for the unnecessary posts by the message board losers who have so much time on their hands they come into other people's threads, contribute nothing, and hate on the posters. Solid work guys.

I take bets for a couple of buddies and my brother and his buddies, my partners brother and his friends. It is not a serious operation. All my players know and talk to each other so alot of the players call in all the same teasers.

Today's 7 point teaser is:

Wake +5/Miss St. +9.5

I cant believe you charge -140. I hope your players are college freshman and high school kids.

Anyways Tiger...Stay the course. Losing sucks, but you will start winning. Lot of bowl games left. THey will start to lose on those college teasers, trust me.

I did not set my 7 point teasers at -140, that is what my bookie sets his at so I just replicate everything that he offers in case I ever want to lay action off. I never put teasers in through my local, I am not that dumb. It wasn't like I sat down one day and said, I really want to screw my friends over and make them lay -140 on 7 point teasers. It is what it is.

All my players are b/w 18-24 y/o and are very inexperienced gamblers.

robbing his customers? Its a free enterprise system. They are coming to him for a service, and he is offering his product. It's up to the consumer whether or not they agree and "purchase" the product.

No. But he shouldnt panick the minute the he loses 3 in a row.

The odds are in his favor so let nature take its course. At -140 it will happen sooner than later

He should realize that playes win too every now and then and that is what makes them coming back for more.
