Can anyone explain why the Browns would be 12 point favorites in a game that means nothing to them? I know SF is bad but, that seems crazy.

san francisco playing cross country on the final week of the season and starting a QB who should be out of football.

would i lay the chalk with cleveland in a game that doesnt mean anything to them? no chance.

but if you play frisco on the road given the circumstances, congrats. youve got a big set of nuts.

game means something for the browns:
Cleveland (9-6): The Browns must win and get help from the Colts (who need to beat the Titans) to make the playoffs. Final game: vs. 49ers.

cleveland can back into the playoffs if they lose.
their game means nothing, for all intents and purposes.
only game that matters for cleveland is the indy game.
still not sure why browns dont give quinn a half just for experience alone on sunday.

Mean nothing? Not only can Cleveland still make the playoffs, but it also plays at 1 p.m., which means there will be zero scoreboard watching since Tennessee plays the night game.

You don't think there's a chance, albeit small, that Indy takes down Tennessee?

The only way Quinn should see the field is if the Browns truly feel that there is ZERO chance the Titans lose. And I think there's a fairly decent chance they fall.

If Tennessee wins, they are in the playoffs. If they lose, Cleveland is in the playoffs instead.

As far as the Cleveland game goes: win or win not, there is no affect on the outcome of their place in the playoffs.

skins, i absolutely think indy can take down tennessee.

point is that the browns game vs frisco means nothing.

the way the tiebreaker works, if cleveland loses tomorrow and indy wins, the browns still go to the playoffs.

the browns result doesnt matter on sunday.

if indy beats the tits, browns are in no matter what happens at 1pm.

I could see the Clowns coming out flat and just going through the motions and winning a boring 16-13 type game. 12 points does seem like a lot, but not enough for me to put money on them

it would be pretty comical if the clowns went into the final 2 weeks and

... lost to cincinnati
... lost to san francisco

and still backed into the playoffs because indy's 2nd string helped them out.

The Browns game does have an outside chance of having playoff implications. If the Colts and Titans tie, Cleveland would need to beat or tie San Fran to make the playoffs
