There was no way the Giants could've done anything else........the NFL basically forced their hand by putting this on every major network and all the press coverage it was given.

Giants haven't been doing so hot lately...imagine what a win here would do for this team's confidence...might give them a chance in a quarterfinal

Has Belichick Learned His Lesson Yet?

Although the Bill Belichick's Patriots are 10-6 and are going to the playoffs, they will be missing there #1 target Wes Welker is out. Welker suffered an left knee injury in the 1st Quarter of Week 17 loss to Houston Texans. Welker would have been really valuable in the Playoffs, but Has Bill's drive your opponent into the ground attitude backfired in his face?

Plenty of times Belichick have ran up the score on an opponent. First instance Week 6 versus Tennessee. Tom Brady and the Patriots went up 0-45 in the second quarter. Why not pull Brady and company there? Did Belichick want to spank Tennessee? Even the NFL will back me "It was over when ...The Patriots scored 35 points in the second quarter, all on the arm of Tom Brady. His five touchdown passes in the second quarter were the most by any player in a quarter since 1950."SECOND QUARTER.
How about the next week when Tom Brady & Co. went up 28-7 in the third quarter. Why keep going? To show our good friends over in Europe a good time? Eh, I can kind of understand this one, but still.
Try one more? ok, Week 16 again The Pats went up 0-35 early in the 4th quater. Lets see what NFL.com has to say "It was over when ...David Garrard was intercepted in the red zone on Jacksonville's opening drive of the second half. The Patriots subsequently executed a 10-play drive that ended with Randy Moss' third TD catch of the day -- a 17-yard pass from Tom Brady -- that gave New England a 35-0 lead early in the fourth quarter."
This kind of playing has finally taken its toll on its players. Welker who was injured earlier in the season has again had to suffer again. Why play your players when you have nothing, to little to fight for? Let me just ask Bill was potentially going 11-7 and wrapping up the number three seed rather than number four, worth the risk of losing it all?

Why does Marvin Lewis have Carson Palmer in this game tonight? He has a backup QB named J.T. O'Sullivan waiting to go.
