Adding for 1 Unit:

Bucs -2.5 (-120)

This season has consistently seen me bet the Bucs and fade the Giants, so here we go again.

I like Seattle minus the points this weekend. Everyone is on the Redskins bandwagon and the Seahawks will be hearing it all week from the media. I look for them to be pumped up and totally shutdown the Redskins offense. The Redskins are great against the run which isn't really Seattle's strength. I project that it will end up just like the 2005 divisonal playoffs.

TB is a tuff play for me. I was all over their nutz before they got murdered by HOU. I know Garcia wasn't playing, but I expected TB's "D" to play much better than that. NYG has a much better run gm than HOU, and if Eli can limit the TO's, NY could make this gm uncompetitive. TB is in a weak div, where most of their wins came from, while the Giants are in the most heated div in NFC. I think NY is better prepared for this gm, as they've been involved in tighter gms against tuffer tms. TB only had one close gm, vs TEN, when Young went out during that one. I don't know, TB really burst my bubble vs HOU, and they got blown out by 2 other div champs in SEA & IND. While NY is definitely not SEA or IND, I think they can be compared to HOU.

But, I always wish the Crunch the best of luck, and if I do play the Giants, it'll be small anyway, just wanted to add my 2 cents here!

Well, the Giants played their guts out last week while TB has been coasting the last couple in preparation for this game. Houston actually didn't do that much against TB's defense. They had a kickoff return for a td, two very short fields from turnovers, and one long drive, if I'm not mistaken. At home, I really like the Bucs.

Seattle/Washington is a tough one. My line is Wash. +4 right now. Seattle is certainly capable of passing on the 'Skins, no doubt about it. Washington is running and passing the ball pretty well right now with Collins, and balanced offenses are hard to shut down unless you have a really top notch defense, which Seattle doesn't have. It's definitely a no-play for me.

True Crunch! But, TB did score one of their TD's on a short field via TO, and HOU was about to score one when Sage coughed it up again, but McCown returned the favor on that same drive.

I think TB coasting may hurt them, but if they come out firing early, then it could get ugly for NY. You must admit it is hard to turn up the intensity after 2 wks of cruise control, while NY had a tuff one vs NE. Check on Kawika Mitchell, Shaun O'hara, & Madison's status tho. That might up your play if they're out.

HAPPY NEW YEAR buddy! I'm still 4 hours out here in hawaii, so I'm biding time here on da RX!

Nice, Wormy. Thanks and happy new year to you too! Maybe I'll hop on a jet-ski and come visit if you've got an extra hammock in the banana orchard for me to sleep on, lol. It's cold as hell here in Utah, and full of thieves. Last night someone broke into our detached garage and stole my wife's mountain bike and the stereo faceplate from the car. What the eff they're going to do with the faceplate is beyond me.

The Giant's fresh injuries are definitely one of the reasons why I jumped on the -120 at 5dimes when it was available -- it's back up to -125 now.

We just finished watching "Live Free or Die Hard." Some good action sequences but you have to turn off your brain to believe half of what is going on it, lol. We're about to go watch some more "Flight of the Conchords" episodes. Funny shit more our style.

Adding for 3/4th Unit:

Seahawks/Redskins Over 40 (+102 Matchbook)

Slim value really, as my line is 41.5, but now that the Redskins have a balanced offense with healthy wide receivers they're moving the ball pretty well.

could not agree more on the Pitt/Jax over. This is my favorite play of the weekend and hopefully an easy winner. Appreciate all the write ups and glad to see we're on the same side here:toast:

hi cruncher,

i just started a thread about line movement on the tenn/indy game this past week, figured i would ask you as well since you seem to track line movements pretty well throughout the week...here's what I asked.

<!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> Does anyone know of a website that will show the line movement on this game? In particular I am interested to see what the line was on Thursday 12/27.

thanks in advance.

Crunch, that's shitty to hear about your break-in! I hate fucking thieves, one of the worst type of people on the planet. Sounds like you had dumb thieves too.

Thanks for the movie review as well! I was thinking of renting DieHard, but don't want to waste my time on no-brainers if I can help it. Loved AVP-R, but I'm a big Predator/Aliens fan, so I don't know how "normal" movie goers are going to like it. Very violent, that is certain.

Yes, I've noticed the PIT over rising. I suppose this is a reflection of PIT not stopping JAX's run gm, and JAX being susceptible to Ben's comebackability? Even Ace has that as a large play for him. That scares me that so much people are confident in it.

The only reason I would pick the Jags this week is coaching. I think the Steelers having a rookie coach and the Jags having an experienced Del Rio makes a huge difference. Just my take.

Yeah, the Steelers' coaching has been horrible all year.

Cruncher, the weather report now lists PM showers. Any thoughts on this line? It has crept up and could make for a decent middle.

During the course of this game, you will start to think that Todd Collins is Drew Bledsoe. He stands in the pocket way too long surveying the field. You watch, Collins will definitely have a couple of key fumbles from the Seattle pressure. The Redskins will be putting Campbell back in there to give them some mobility.

The key to this whole game is how the Seattle offense handles the Redskins pressure. The Redskins have been covering up their weak secondary the last few games. They have played teams with weak passing attacks, Minn, Chic, and Dallas just didn't show up. I expect some bigs plays out of Burleson or Branch against man coverage.

What's your thoughts on the Chargers?
Doesn't it seem like a no brainer to take the Chargers minus the points?
The Titans are limping into the playoffs. They are without Roydell Williams and Scaife, Vince Young is hurt and Mawea may not play either. The only way they are going to produce points is if Rivers self-destructs.

If the Chargers jump all over them early, this game will be over.

hey crunch,
been absent for a while but I'm with you on your plays. GL as always!! I definitely think Wash is not a good matchup against Sea. TB should win and cover against the giants. I'd really like jax to win but I find it hard for them to win @ Pit 2 times in the same season.

I'm getting a little concerned over the weather in Seattle. Rain and 16 mph winds don't benefit the Seahawks whatsoever. The Seahawks need their passing attack to win this one.
