hey fish ,there is an awesome little restaurant for sale there (60k). You should stop by and chat with the owner and grab a good bite to eat. If you know anyone with restaurant experience then this is a likely gold mine. Very nice place with a great reputation and excellent food. check it out while you are there. It is right off the beach in a perfect location with condos all around in walking distance. Here is the Ebay listing:

I was never much for St. Augustine... but I'll tell you this... I just spent the night up in Daytona a couple nights ago and couldn't breathe. The Red Tide is destroying us asthmatics on the coast. Fortunately, I live inland near Orlando, but if you or anyone else you're going with is going in the near future and has any sort of breathing problems, be forwarned that it's going to be hard to breathe and do any sort of physical activity.

Yeah man, I fucking passed out at the top of the stairs after walking up 4 flights (without trace of alcohol in my system, mind you)... I have no idea how my girlfriend got me back to the room, but I remember being on the phone with HW86, losing cell service, passing out, and waking up on the bed in my room completely unable to breathe. Serious stuff.

Red tide is still pretty bad here in the Daytona area. In St. Aug there is the outlet mall, Murray Bro's eatery, World Golf Village. Some of the stuff in Old downtown is just that. OLD.
It'll be freaking cold in the area in the coming days so bring some warm gear.

WOW, your right!

A high of only 49 and lows in the upper 20's on WED and THUR...........precisely the days I was planning on visiting.

May have to make other plans and head south and visit ST. AUG at another time.

They've actually used the word "snow". Do you believe that shit? I'd take a shot at another time to come over to this side. When you do, you have to make it to Murry Bro's. That place is a riot with all the caddyshack and Murray Bros' memorbilia. Good times and good food. I'll be around if you need any other suggestions for the east coast. But go south right now if you have that option, cause this weather is fixin to be freakin cold.

Bring your clubs and we can take in a round at the Stadium Course at TPC. I followed a police escort for the Texas Tech football squad today all the way to World Golf Village...i was looking to put a couple million on Virginia and then was going to wreck out Bus #1 which was listed "offense" and the side window.
.
I will be back in Tampa on the evening of the 10th to pack up my truck and drive to IL. Will call that week to remind you i need in your garage.

Thanks!

We had a couple beers at happy hour at the Oasis and listened to a really cool band upstairs..........very nice place and the food looked great.

We than went to the Sunset Grill for dinner..........and it was fantastic!! Had the chicken breast topped with crabmeat, spinach, and cheese.......with a baked potato and red beans and rice.

Drank from the Fountain of Youth yesterday also and definetly feel a few days younger.

Perhaps we will attempt to try another one of your recommendations today, as you have been spot on.

We also stopped in at the Mill downtown, but it was a tad to cold in there to hang around(last night was slightly nipper), neat place though.

Gator/Viking---sorry, don't have time to drive up any further north, as this is a very short trip. Not sure what's on the agenda today.........many locals have recommended the Alligater Farm, so maybe that's in the cards.

Must eat at the Conch House restaurant and make sure you get a fried Snickers for dessert!

I've also done a few of the ghost tours. Pretty interesting history and it's entertaining.
