I am going to keep track of everything this entire year, but I still dont know how.

By day?

or By sport?

I have one of those block calendars Ive always used and just jot down my daily totals after each day. Good way to keep track of my +/- units.

I want to be more detailed & organized though & write down why I made each play, etc...... What do you guys do? Do any of you have an excel sheet youd care to share?

I use db3, its a DOS command line database first released in the 1980's. I know how to use it and program it and never really learned any of the new fangled SQL stuff. It also provides more flexibility for queries than Excel spreadsheets, which are better than nothing.

Definitely by sport. You need to know EXACTLY how you are doing in each sport. By day is also important so you can see the financial fluctuations. You can do both. Excel online or a regular notebook to write in will do. G/L

I replied that I'm still living in the stone age of computing, using a obsolete command line database that predates Windows, mainly because I'm too lazy to learn something new.

If you want to go the database route then Open Office includes BASE, a database that allows you to output to Word type text documents and tables. Its free and can be used for simple or complex queries and meshes with a spreadsheet.
