The other day my neighbor (older guy, in his 60's) had me hook up a router so his wife could use wireless internet on her laptop. Everything works fine, but they use AOL and there is a problem. They cannot be on both computers (desktop and laptop) at the same time w/ the same username. In other words, if he is on the desktop using AOL and she signs in using their account on the laptop, it boots him off. Is there any way around this?

TIA

If they are using the same user name it will not let you do that..He needs to create a 2nd user name and then they both can be on at the same time. I think they let you create 5 names.

Watch out with AOL. Not only do they charge 23 or 34 dollars for a service others charge 10 bucks for, but they will continue to bill you after you cancel. It happened to both myself and a friend of mine. They were sued for this and had to pay out millions in a class-action case. Run away from this shit outfit.

We already had the "why the fuck are you using AOL" conversation. He's not budging. Oh well, just trying to do him a favor.
