It would be hard to beat out Don Nehlen as the worst ever, but Stoops has to be close.

Notre Dame is just a no talent overhyped school....nothing new.

I love seeing them get beat into the ground-week, after week, after week.

FU NBC....

4-9 in bowls for this WV coach is not as bad as I thought. I don't remember those 4 wins though. WV lost like 9 bowls in a row at some point.

WVU...

First off, congrats on your MLINE play on WVirginia...nice.

Second...

I think Stoops is horrible.

That onside kick after the Sooners had stormed back in the 3rd Qtr...scored back-2-back and held WVU to back-2-back three and outs...was one of the dumbest things I have ever seen.

Yeah the Sooners had some injuries entering this game...but I think the players were unprepared and thought all they had to do was dress and win.

Tom Osborne's teams lost 7 bowls games in a row and lost 12 out of 15 but brought his team back. Give Stoops a chance. He's still young.

Rodriguez was 60-26 at WVU, 2-3 in bowls and 0-1 in home games vs losing teams when a win would give a shot to play for a National Champ

Don Nehlen lost 8 bowls in a row until the Music City Bowl win in 2000, then Rich Rod lost his 1st 3 bowls.

Tonight has to be the best bowl performance for WVU ever. Those 2 bowl wins Rodriguez got were both by a FG

The onsides call after OU scored to make it 20-15 and had ALL the momentum was atrocious. No reason to take the risk there when it looked like OU was about to take control of the game

They may have beaten GEO by just three points...

But they kicked their ass in that 1st half if I remember correctly.

He is young and may turn it around....yes this is true but as of right now he is the worst big game bowl coach I have seen. Losing the last 4 BCS bowls they have been in, 2 of which he was a 7 point or more favorite and 3 of which they looked totally unprepared is pathetic.

Now with that said he fact that he has recruited talent and got them there should be mentioned but this thread is about coaching the big game. This stage of his career he is plain awful in the big game.

yes, they did go up 28-0 on Georgia in that Sugar Bowl and then held on 38-35. I think tonight was much better though, Oklahoma is higher ranked then Georgia was then and this win was pretty dominant and as a TD plus dog even better.

While I think Stoops is a crybaby, I don't think Stoops is to blame here ... WVU was better.
