say you have some inside info on a game. You knew 99.9% that this team would cover the spread. How would you go about making money on this?

Would you go to vegas and just bet what you can

or do you go offshore and unload? (but its too hard getting any serious money out there)

do you you use your local? (only 10,000 max)

do you tell anyone?

Don't get greedy.. and don't tell anyone is the right instinct.. I would take your normal wager.. decide what you can afford to lose with making the rent and putting food on the table for the next month.. then decide how much its gonna cost to live it up in the Domincian Republic for a month.. and bet twice that

how much would vegas take on a game like this?

do you guys think it would just be best to go shop to shop and bet the max allowed

Depends on a lot of things :

How much time do you have ?

How much credit ?

If I really believed it's 99.9% to hit, I'd bet my life on it, but what monetary value do I get back ? I'd bet my condo on it for sure with a 1 in 1,000 chance of losing, but how do I sell it in a few hours ?

You have to bet everything you can mustar up on a true 99.9% chance.

True story..
1st yr Brown left LSU they were horrible. 1 player on the team over 6'7. 1st game of the year they r playing Kansas on the road and this was right after Kansas had turned them into NCAA investigators for recruiting violations that cost LSU a lot....Kansas was like a 12pt fav and i thought that was stealing. i had already unloaded offshore all i had on Kansas. So im driving thru campus about 4pm that evening, i stop at a light and who comes walking thru the crosswalk???????? The ONLY guy on the team over 6'7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The team is in Kansas, this guy is in Baton Rouge on campus, the game starts in maybe 2.5 hrs....HE aint frickin playing tonight!!!!!!!!!
I got the local sports radio on. nobody has mentioned he hasnt made the trip. Im freakin out now, this is to good to be true. -12 against a team with NO CENTER! I think 4 a bit and i remember this local guy somebody had introduced me to like 6 months before. so i call the guy and tell him i want to get down on the game..He says im just about tapped out on that game, every body loves LSU + the 12.......What???????????????????????? i have to pinch myself cus i think im dreaming....i tell him i want Kansas and how much can i get? He says since i barely know you ill go 4k and thats it........4000??????????? i was hoping for 400 bucks...........lol I take it..the whole 4K.......mind you i dont have probably 2500 if i sell everything i owned at the time...lol
Anyway at the half Kansas leads like 36-11 and my phone rings.........Its the book...." come get your GD money right now before i change my mind and DONT EVER CALL ME AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

$5000 for 1 month in their best resort. No other money needed. I would recommend Secrets Excellence.

i say share it:toast: but unload as much as you can in vegas and if u have enough left why not just use offshore ones as well. just make sure you have enough to not commit suicide if it doesnt hit

Seriously if you are 99.9% sure and have true inside info from a trusted source...... Id unload everyting you can on it.

I hope it isnt some tout telling you this crap though..........b/c if it is you better not play it at all.

Any more hints on which game it is?

99.9% sounds like a lock. That equates to about a 50% chance of winning the bet. Risk what you can afford to lose becasue there is no way in hell anything is 99.9% out there. If there was then there would probably be a 75% chance that the bets would end up being void. Be smart and don't believe everything you hear.

no way you have a 99% chance of winning, on a ATS bet in college bball.But to answer your question alot of it depends on how much $$ we are talking about. First place to bet are the small offshore shops that move on air. Even if the book moves the #, Cris, oly, and Pinny will pay no attention to it. If your in vegas the next places to hit are the small shops. THen hit the largers shops in Vegas. Last place to hit is either Cris/ oly or pinny which ever gives you the largest limit. You can hit just about any local you want as they have very little effect on market line moves.

man, w/ 99% chance of winning....seriously, bet as much as possible. Max out all credit cards, max out local (plus other locals you can get ahold of), take out a personal loan, empty out your savings/checking, turn your mom's purse upsidedown and scoop anything monetary that falls out....

....just remember to save enough for a bullet if it loses
