I dont see Ford's stock price in the next year being effected by their sales performance..everyone knows Honda/Toyota/Hyundia ect are gaining share while the big 3 drop..the only catalyst I can see pushing this up are a deal to sell Jaguar to Tata motors (likely 6 months away) and their getting a better grasp on their dealer network and pulling the plug on these small time, low sales outlets that are killing them. Ford has many more dealerships that anyone else and soo many of them are in small town rust belt america..its what made the f series/tarus top sellers back in the 80/90's, but its now become a liability. GM had to go through the same thing back in the late 80's/early 90's and survived. I like F, but cant see 9 just yet..mid 7's is likely more reasonable and a basement of 5.
I know its funny to say things about ford, like fix or repair daily, however, and I know its a small sample, but I have owned ford my entire life and have had nothing but good experiences.

If the fed cuts rates 100 basis points over next 8 weeks and Bush provides some tax stimulus then I agree....if not then this is the last kind of stock you want to own in a slowdown. On a positive note they do have a great CEO who came from Boeing and they're getting a lot of concessions finally from the union.
