If hoops and football can have halftime lines, why can't hockey have lines between periods 1 and 2 and again between 2 and 3?
There certainly is more than enough time with 20 min. between periods to offer a line? Is it because it would require too much mathematics splitting things into thirds instead of halves?
Or too many variables in hockeys that distiguigh scoring in the 2nd and 3rd periods vs. just the 1st? I think I remember seeing it in the NHL All star game but never during the reg. season? Just wondering...
