I am planning on going in March and want to place a 5k dollar bet on some ML for either NCAA or NBA basketball, will this get flagged by anyone?

I like to bet early so it funds the rest of my trip. But have never bet this much?

How much in general till you get flagged.

I won like 3k in September at MGM and no one said anything but this was over 3 bets.

The sportsbooks in Vegas are scared of their shadow.

Agreed...I happened to be in Harrah's meeting someone this year and tried to get down a few grand on a baseball total. Just a normal regular season game.

It was like 10 minutes, phone calls, managers coming over.."how much??"

We're talking 5 or 6k, can't remember for sure.

Now Harrah's may not be big for sports, but they own half the strip and a ton of sportsbooks, so was pretty surprised.

It's my experience that most Vegas sportsbooks are absolute cowards when it comes to accepting a wager on an NBA total. They won't take more than 300 to 500. The same may go for some lesser college Bball sides. They don't limit NFL or high profile college football.

The only thing that might happen is that the clerk taking the bet will have to call the "floor" super over who in turn will call "upstairs" to get an approval for your action. This has happened to me at the El Cortez many times. Upon cashing there is no problem as the ticket would have been noted as approved at the time the bet was taken. Just sit back and count those Benjamins. GL

What are your March dates?. I am going to be there from the 18th to the 24th. (Sweet 16 and Elite 8).
