Lets say you're up $1500 on the day, and put $500 on the last thing available to bet for the night, to go +$1,000 or +$2,000 ( bet for no great reason), is that worse than chasing or the same ?

I try to not do either, but think the push bet might be better for no good solid reason, except it hurts less if you lose it, you'll forget it more easily. Probably both hit about the same, as they aren't planned bets.

Not sure of your point especially the last paragraph. You need to be smart when you bet and try to win. So if you are TRYING TO WIN...you do not bet without any reason at all. If you do though bet SMALL.

my opinion is betting just because you are ahead, is no different than just firing because you are stuck. If the bet doesnt figure, why place it just because you are up $ that particular day?

In poker however, yes, when you are way up, loosen up and show people you DO gamble, so you get action when you need it.

I'm better than that... people chase losees. I'm sure some would push the win, for no good reason... I'm up 1500 for the day... bet H2 of the Hawaii game mentality for an above average $500 bet type of stuff. 1k or 2k up for the day... house money theory.

By no means do I endorse pushing (overbetting) the last thing on the board, should just be a total vig eater.

I'm suggesting that last game is GOLD for the books... not only do they have chasers, they have pushers also !
