Not in that situation. Would have saved them 35 seconds but it would have meant 5/7 pt lead instead of 2. That's a bigger difference. Plus FG's do miss on rare ocassions. As it was, they couldn't get it done.

I would have let them score on first down, but that's just me.

I would have also gone for a throwing first down on 3rd and 6 on the previous drive, but that must just be me too since they pay someone else $2-3 million to make bonehead decisions.

He is very unlikely to miss an extra point length FG and it;s going to come down to a 40 yard drive with 30 seconds and no timeouts. May as well let them score and be down 5/7 with 1:30 and 2 timeouts - but no NFL coach would ever have the balls to do something like that
