I bet on MLB,NFL,College football,NBA and occasionally some of the other sports but have rarely bet on NHL as I never thought I had an edge. Granted it's my least favorite sport but the lines offered have always seemed to me to be especailly to the bookie's advantage. I welcome any seasoned NHL bettors tio tell me where I am so wrong. :think2:

I only follow myself, therefore I don't wager on hockey. However, I know people who derive the greatest part of their income betting on this sport. In fact, they are on a hell of a run right now getting limits reduced and trying to find other outs. Good Luck

Just like any other sport, if you know what you are doing, you can win....bellyputter, I know those guys well...they have had only 2-3 losing weeks so far....

Just a small credit shop...we have no post-up players..All you guys that post here would be sharps in this store...after working in the big stores such as Grande and Cris, this is a nice vacation but not without it's ups and downs..offshore business is like a rollercoaster...

When Greendoberman, TTinCo, and Quantemleap was here, I took them on a tour of the CRIS building and met with their bosses...I'm pretty sure they were impressed to see the business from the bettor's standpoint...

I think the NHl is very difficult to beat due to the parity in this league. The high juice may put you in the negative in the end.

I can proudly say that I have turned a profit every year, (for the last few years), by betting on nothing but the NHL. Prior to that I’d bet on every sport, college, pro, you name it, I did it. At the end of every year my balance sheet would be in the red.

Today I immerse myself in the one sport I love the most. I believe there’s too much that you need to know and too little time to possibly think I can win at all sports.

Whoever said, “Jack of all trades and master of none” must have been a sports gambler.

Parity can be to your advantge if you know how to use it correctly.

Hockey has a dime line and often weak lines and very slow to react to late injuries or information.

Exactly...books are often slow to react to hockey, especially with all the football and basketball...I know it is the last thing I look at sometimes...especially with the puck lines that you can bet a few ways...

Outside NFL I rarely bet but I lay most Sports and I'm doing well in NHL, especially laying Totals. NHL is like any short scoring Sport in that Totals can be very hit or miss but Books will be very careful with Moneylines and I'm even more careful in laying anything shorter than -120, thats where I see the Bettor start to take control just like in MLB. I dont have the time to do it but I've always thought that adding posters like Vegas Vic and Spreadbeater etc to my laying strategies would make even more money.

So bottom line, like any Sport, unless your an expert its going to be hard to beat that vig as you can bet the Books have experts telling them what the time of Day is. :drink:

I forgot to add that regardless of any Sport, I learnt a long time ago to assume the geezer taking your bet is as smart if not smarter than you. People in every way of life do this on a daily basis, Chess players would never take an opponent for granted but constantly on this Forum people post as if the Books are Coconuts at a Funfair. :drink:
