absolutely not. 2 losses in your last 3 games does not make you worthy of a high ranking. then again, this years national champion is going to have 2 losses, one of which was in the home finale as a DD favorite. so im not sure how much the rankings mean.

LSU beat some good teams along the way. USC beat nobody. And USC lost to Stanford.

Fla and Va Tech were better than anyone on USC's shedule this yr. Yes.

And don't schedule Idaho when you play 9 weak conference games. And don't struggle vs pathetic teams like UW and U of A.

And lastly, don't lose as the biggest point spread favorite ever to lose and come back complaining that you deserve anything more than you got.

One belongs in arguably the worst BCS conference, the other has a defense that's worse than most Pac-10 schools, and the other couldn't put up more than 20 points to save their life. Yeah, that's a star studded schedule.

usc is the best team in the country. that said, they have zero argument for any kind of split title. and they should shut their mouths period for losing to stanford. but they are the best team in the country.
