I agree. That way you could have a playoff system--the SEC regular season--crown a national champ and still have a bowl system. I'm in Big Ten country and a Wisconsin fan, but have to admit year after year, the elite team in the SEC is much more exciting and talented than its Big Ten counterpart. The middle teams in the Big Ten can beat the middle teams of the SEC, but their is no comparision of the elite teams each year. The best SEC teams just seem to be on the full-bore attack mode on offense, which seems to wear down Big Ten defenses.
