WOW!! Lil Wayne must `of had that king size bong outside again. No really that is crazy. I seen a wreck like this before not a good thing. People driving 30-60 and just hit the 1st stopped car and on and on. just wait for the news about a insurance guy hung himself next.

I-4 is the most dangerous highway in Florida. Drive extremely carefully if you ever find yourself on it. It is built for speed, and filled with trucks, confused tourists and young Hispanics driving Hondas.

70 vehicles were involved in the mess. That has to be in the top 4 or 5 ever on the US. I think I5 in Cali had like 120 involved one time.

I can name 2 or 3 in Miami that are much worse...Die 95, The Palmetto etc. Down there you also contend with sheet metal and debris flying off trucks..hands down the worst

Billsey and myself were traveling this same exact road less than a week ago coming back from our St. Augustine vacation.......and going in the same direction, westbound.

I think it's time we raise the fines and penalties for speeding and/or drunk driving.........especially here in Florida.

I drive that stretch of highway 1-2 times per week. It just so happens I was in Tallahassee when it happened where, coincidentally, the same sort of controlled burn and fog combination happened, but not nearly as bad. Obviously, no wreck of that variety.

Speaking of carnage, WTF is up with all the tornadoes this week?

just simply a clash of air masses...the jet stream is pushing warm air further north and cold air from the north is not able to beat it back down...tornado's in the south in january is not that odd...but where they have been this last week or so is...

i learned this from a meaty-urologist

Fish. You know I idolize you buddy. But you are getting old when you start saying things like this. Florida is strict as hell on DUI.

i guess this trooper made his quota for the day..

Wilfredo Reveron, like many others from the I-4 pile up, received a citation for careless driving.

He and his wife are outraged. He got stuck in a mini pile up behind the larger pileup involving mainly tractor trailers.

Reveron’s car got hit on both sides. After it was over, Reveron and many of the folks involved couldn't go anywhere because their cars were damaged and Florida Highway Patrol troopers wouldn't release them until they gave their accounts.

In the meantime, according to Reveron, an FHP trooper was going around giving tickets.

Reveron called his wife and told her what was going on. She urged him to talk to the trooper, but according to Reveron the trooper issued him a citation as well as citations to many others.

Reveron said the trooper told him that everyone was getting a ticket. Reveron said he told the trooper it was foggy and smoky and it wasn't his fault that he was hit but Reveron said the trooper told him he’d have to go to court to argue his case.

According to troopers, drivers involved in the non-fatal accidents were cited for careless driving. The theory being they should have slowed down as visibility deteriorated.

Every single one of those tickets will get thrown out.. How the fucking hell can that trooper tell who was driving to fast and who wasn't? HE CAN'T!! The judge will have a fun time with that one...

When we were involved in our accident, my wife was driving and we actually never hit anyone, but we got slammed from behind by a fucking jackass who was driving to fast for the conditions. This fuckhead slams us, wastes our rear end (crumple zone) then he pulls to the left shoulder leaving us to get hit again, but we never did get hit again, thank god... Point is, there's no way to know who was driving to fast for the conditions with a chain reaction accident.

I've been pondering this one. I wonder if it's some legal bullshit where they have to prove that whoever is eventually found at fault was given a ticket.

(Or they just fuck everyone who doesn't fight it & make a mint)
