Books/bookmakers- are you guys getting beat with CBB totals this year

Been following alot of steam in CBB the past few years and I have noticed it wins alot more than it loses with CBB totals. I dont blame the books with putting these numbers up late as to me it looks like they are getting beat with these huge moves.

This must be the one bet the bookmaker can not get his finger on as well as the sharps. I noticed this last year also. These totals are all over the place and from my calulations on following these (and I am sure I miss a ton of them) they have won at 54-56% the past 2 seasons.

I have no documented proof other the bets I have made the past few seasons (and that is well into the mid 50% range) but of the major sports that are bet, this seems to be where the number cruncher/handicapper is exploiting. Been reading a few numbers guys at other forums who have been using some obscure stats like pace ratings and effencinency ratings, that are making better numbers than the books (IMO).

It also seems there is a sense of fear amongst the books with booking these as some of the bigger shops have put somethings in place to slow down getting hit hard on them.

I could be wrong but I would love to hear from a few that book and if they are noticing the bigger players who are betting these are winning more than they are losing. Not your average fan but the more serious players and how the books feel about them. Thanks.

late moves final 45 minutes in totals last week or so have been pretty bad from what Ive been able to get down on. But in general I think CBB totals offer the weakest major sport line a sharp can find and exploit.

Lets face it when Paciffic plays Long Beach State or Arkansas St plays North Texas it must be difficult to put numbers on these and knowing there are people who are ready to jump all over any mistakes you make.

I mean your Joe average fan knows San Antonito at home should be -3/-3.5 over Detroit. I called my buddy yesterday who is not a bettor but a sportsfan and told him home court in the NBA was worth 2.5/3 points and he guessed the NBA line so the mistakes arent as obvious but good luck trying to put totals on Paciffic vs LBSU.

wow. I am on the hottest stretch betting wise in exactly 1 year and that was last Janurary and I know most of the credit has to go towards CBB totals. They have been unreal for me.

are these late moves in the last 45-30 minutes before tip off like 6:15 - 6:45 eastern time type of moves in college totals?

like for example the move from 139 to 137 on

<TABLE cellSpacing=0 cellPadding=0 width="100%" border=0><TBODY><TR><TD class=TableBodyAlt>Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers at Valparaiso Crusaders under </TD></TR><TR><TD class=TableBodyAlt>

Can you list a couple from last night...maybe I missed a few!

</TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt></TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt></TD></TR><TR><TD class=TableBodyAlt> </TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt></TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt></TD><TR vAlign=top><TD class=TableBodyAlt> </TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt></TD><TD class=TableBodyAlt> </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

TTT,
Yes. Maybe about 6-7pm EST

Off my sheet here is what I bet:

over 158 Oregon
over 124 LA Tech
over 138.5 SJSU
under 148.5 Arkansas St
over 142.5 UNC Wilmington
under 144.5 UNC Wilmington
under 135. Wooford
under 141 Murrary St
over 130 Butler
under 123.5 Wisconsin
over 150 UL Monroe
Over 121 Wisconsin
over 124 Oregon St

some of these last few were after 7pm but most were before.

Throw in the 10 or so 1st half totals. I know I missed a ton of them while looking for other bets.
