My bank RBC will not let me deposit any longer at Betfair, and I checked
out moneybookers and it won't let me deposit for gambling with my card either?

Any suggestions?

Thanks

RBC Visa can't be used for gambling, suggest you get another Visa supplier.

Guys, please avoid discussing financial transactions between books and clients, unfortunatly these transactions are private between books and customers.

This is the unfortunate new reality we face, even in Canada.

erwinmark, if you want to email me at sportsavant@therx.com I can send you a tip

I have a Royal Bank visa also, only book that accepted it was Sportsbet, and they gave me a 50% freeplay.

OK, but anyone would think it was illegal the way you put up that warning.

The decision not to support gambling transactions is presumably a decision of the Royal Bank. They will tell you it is a condition of Visa International but that is a lie. I imagine it is due to fraud and charge backs.

My card supports gambling and I've discussions with the security department regarding that use.

BTW: Would you care to explain the 'new reality' since I am unaware of anything new in this area?

This has always been an open forum, thus the question. I have another Visa that from a competitors bank and it doesn't work either for gambling.

Canada is going the way of the States! My opinion

SS, no doubt the US told NETeller what to do in Canada but I doubt they have the same pull with our major banks.

I agree that we often get side swiped by our cousins south of 49th but the last time I checked we still mark paper ballots for elections in our sovereign nation.

Vive la Canada!

they may not have the same pull with our banks, but our banks may require very little pressure to change these things, after all, 1/2 of them or more already dont allow it

Can you move money from books back to card? Is that what your saying?

Can you reload on-line or from your regular bank account, I haven't made it out to get a card?
