You have to give him credit - still can get it done with his legs after 16 years and over 250 starts in the NFL.

Does any non-Packer fan really want to hear this from the media this coming week? Great player but the media dick-sucking is becoming too much

I'm watching the game here in the great northwest and my wife and sister-n-law are whinning about how much more can they say about Farve.

Few minutes go by they praise Brent and the whinning starts all over again.

Packers are going to roll them, and even if it gets close(which it won;t)the NFL(Refs) will make sure Farve advances to the next round.

as a matter of fact I do.

Go back and read the old Brett Farve threads from last year. You will see me in almost everyone of them as the lone person defending Farve when everyone else thought he was done.

Glad you remember.

Just now someone bumped up an old Brett Farve thread from last season and guess who is the very first person in the thread to defend him. Yours trully.

You have a great memory.]

Here see for yourself from over a year ago.

After his just his FIRST of THREE straight MVP's I was convinced that he was the best QB that I had ever seen in my lifetime........................and look what he has accomplished since then.

YES, I'm defineltly biased being a Packer fan having seen Brett play nearly everyone of his plays in his career. But the bias would come from perhaps not giving the other great QB's their just due, not overrating Favre himself. As stated, having watched almost every Favre game that he has played, I actually believe he is criticized more by the casual fan than he should be given kudos for by many, many fans, as is made evident by many posters on this board.

Allow me to get back to what I said in the beginning of this post. I recall a little over halfway through Bretts FIRST MVP in 1995 season and very, very few fans were realizing how great this guy was then, hell, 99% of the fans in America believed Drew Bledsoe was the better QB.

Think about this, in Favres three seasons prior to his three straight MVP awards, the years 1992-94............Favre threw 70 TD's and rushed the ball for over 600 yards........with a team that was a hibitual loser for years prior. I wish the casual fan could sit down and watch EVERY play Favre made in his first three seasons(48 games)......as these were the true Brett being Brett years, and as great(yes great) as he was then, he was at his entertaining best.

Yes, the media over does it with him and it gets sickening to even this observer, but let's not hold that against Brett, in fact, he should be applauded for how much time he gives the media(which is why they adore him).

It really is amazing to think from 92-94 that Brett threw for 70 TD's and rushed for 600 yards..........and here it is 2008 and the same guy has not missed a start and just completed having a great game in a playoff atmosphere.

To each his own, but he is without question the best I've ever seen.

A) You've ruined your argument by admitting to be a homer.

B) If the only argument you have is that he's won 3 MVP's and a long ass time ago he had 70 TD passes and 600 yards rushing you need to do some more research.

I know this may sound petty...

but how does any 'real' sports fan still spell Favre's name wrong? Usually when I see his named spelled 'Farve' here...I stop reading the post, as your opinion now means absolutely nothing.
