How about Tom Brady 26 of 28 for 262 yards and 3 TD (no ints)..

I know there is nothing to brag about yet, this game was hard fought by both teams and gallant effort was put forth by the Jaquars who have nothing to be ashamed of..

Bring on those Colts...

Rodney Harrison made the big play when it was needed with the pick late in the 4th qtr..

David Garrard has a bright future in this league..

it was a good game that will deliver another huge rating for cbs. I will say though that N.E.'s defense hasn't looked that good lately.

They held the Jags to two field goals in the second half when the game was up for grabs.. Can't do a lot better than that against a powerhouse (2nd in NFL) offense like the Jags have.

Brady's performance tonight reminds me of only one other performance that might just match it. Bill Walton's 22/23 performance in UCLA Championship game ranks as my top ever !

26 for 28 is 93% and unreal. Pats took care of business. If you want a negative as a Pats fan, their defense shows some holes for sure. Two more to go.

The only better QB performance I've seen was Phil Simms SB victory over the Broncos.

You homer! Lol. In all seriousness, there is no question about the Patroits offense. Extremely versatile with tremendous talent at the skilled positions. That being said, however, the New England defense is a shell of its former championship teams. No longer is Belichick's defense confusing opponents quarterbacks with disguised coverages. They can be run on and thrown on, however if they are to lose this year, they will have to be facing a team that can do both and has a stout defense and looking down the road, not sure such a team remaining exists accept possibly Green Bay. That would make a very entertaining Superbowl.

Enlighten me as I can't remember his stats in that game.
22 for 25 - 3 TD's, like Brady, the 3 incompletes were catchable.
I place that performance over Brady's because it was done on a larger stage (Super Bowl)

prior to the one very nice throw downfield (stallworth?), brady was 22/23 for < 200 yards. impressive from a completion % standpoint? absolutely. but brady has had many, MANY better games than this one. today was just sit back and dump off and hit guys on short curls. moss a total nonfactor. new england did a phenomenal job of being razor sharp and efficient. their offense is just crazy good. but brady has had better days.

I beg to differ. How about the Colts? They can run, and obviously pass. They can play keep away or excel in a shoot out. And their defense is only giving up less than 17 points a game, almost a TD less than last season. If the weather is forgiving, Colts can go to Foxborough and steal one next weekend.

Colts have the best defense in the NFL ! I agree with you as I believe next week will be the real Super Bowl.

Something to think about for next week..

The Patriots' home win was their tenth straight in the postseason, the second longest streak in NFL history.

Easy there Kerm...Best in the NFL? Um, no

Very good-yes...good enough to shut down Brady & Co? I'm not saying yet, but I'm not giving points(hint hint).

Colts still have to go out and win against SD. Don't forget that Peyton hasn't exactly been great in the playoffs. That includes last year. Anyways, brady had all day to throw the ball today and was just playing catch. The jacksonville defensive scheme was garbage.

Val, no shit...how many times did he sit in the pocket & scope the field for 5+ seconds? No rush will kill you-especially vs him.
