Make the playoff's next yr? I think manning is a solid qb but, is the rest of his team going to be able to carry their load with the rest of the afc teams, not all of them, but who have seemed to have gotten alot better the last few yrs.? I don't believe IND will be this strong again next yr even if dungy stay's.IMO.

I think they will compete strongly without Tony Dungy.

Long time Offensive Coordinator Tom Moore is a big favorite to take over head coaching duties and IMO the Colts will be serious contenders again given all the young talent (mixed with some outstanding vets) on the team.

Actually Moore is not at all the fav to take over the duties. The black QB coach (name slips me at this moment) is the heavy fav to take over

You must mean Jim Caldwell, you might be right, in fact I think you are. My only excuse is I am getting older (60 next month) and the memory does go sometimes.. I know Tom Moore has been O. Coord. for 10 years in Indy. Now that I think about it I heard a story on ESPN radio last week about Caldwell mentioning him as a possible replacement.

How much longer do you think manning will play? I don't see him playing more than 3 myself. He seem's amty enough to get out while still being able to walk. He is a very smart man, meaning I think he will have a hunger to make more money other than sittining in a booth commentating. He has a super bowl ring, I don't think he has that brett favre toughness that will make him wnt to still keep on playing.

I have to agree, obviously money is not a factor for him anymore so it is desire to do what it takes to compete. Peyton does not strike me as the Brett Farve type of player that will play into his late 30s. He will be 32 in March and dubtful to still be around after he hits 35..3 or 4 more years tops if injury free.

Big story not too long ago here in Tampa that Dungy's son has been accepted at Tampa Catholic next year.

People down here remember the bang-up job Caldwell did at Wake Forest. He was an awful coach then. I suppose he might have learned something about football all those years he's worked under Dungy.
