OT: Selling Insurance

I am currently looking for a new job because there is too much bullshit going on at my current place of employment. I figure I better get out before I go off and beat up a couple of the managers.

So I reactivated my Monster resume last week and so far the only call I received is from Farmers Insurance. They want me to come in tomorrow for an interview to sell insurance. Is selling insurance a hard sale? The way I see it is everybody who could afford insurance already has insurance.

Has anybody on the boards ever been successful at selling insurance?

I think PBR does it but he dont know the difference between a daily supplement and a cancer supplement so dont ask him...

Lots of people are successful at selling insurance. Go to the interview with an open mind and LOTS of questions.

If you enjoy selling and are willing to learn the ins and outs of the insurance business, you can make a very nice living doing this.

come on now.

You dont think I would white out his app. My clients all have a clean bill of health.

But yes if Wil had to answer those questions I think a decline is forthcoming...

Truth be known, I don't even bother asking the health questions. It takes too much time, and only bad things could come from it anyway. All my apps are prepared with the "no's" already checked.
