Just kidding about the Whormoan comment but I am surprised the Titans let Chow go so soon. I guess that is what being responsible for an offense that scored only 9 passing TDs all season will do to you. wil.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - The Tennessee Titans fired offensive coordinator Norm Chow on Tuesday after a season of struggling to score points, even though they reached the playoffs for the first time since 2003.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher confirmed the dismissal in a short statement. Chow, who had been on staff for three years, and other Titans officials did not immediately return telephone messages left by The Associated Press.

But Fisher said the day after his Titans lost an AFC wild-card game to San Diego 17-6 that improving the offense was his top priority this offseason.
The Titans ranked 21st overall in total yards and became the only team to reach the playoffs in a 16-game season while scoring only nine touchdowns passing.

hard to have success when you dont have confidence in your quarterback to make throws more than 10 yards downfield.

titans would have made a great college team with ncaa heroes like vince young and lendale white.

but their offense was painful to watch at times this year.

Another example of what USC does to dominate in college not working in the pros (see Lane Kiffin too, and should Bozo ever get a gig he most certainly won't win). Maybe Chow wasn't such the genius at USC afterall, but rather the benefactor of immense talent against undermanned competition. NFL CB's and Safeties actually cover receivers and tackling is allowed in the NFL as opposed to the Pac 1

Speaking of Bozo the Carroll: Notice Baltimore with Ozzie Newsome and Miami with Parcells had no interest. He would not be a candidate in Indy nor did he get the job he wanted here in San Diego. Only a team looking for a PR splash throws his name out there.
