the offshore industry back on its feet or are we moving slower in your opinion?

It's been almost exactly a year since Neteller went down. I have tried to stay positive and not let this effect me. I have been in on average 6 books at a time but to be honest with you I expected us to be further along than we are. Depositing and withdrawing are still a pain in the pass compared to what they use to be and I dont think we are much further along than we were last spring.

I think the goverment will never be able to do much more than they are doing now so that is a good thingbut I expected a few more things to be in place 1 year later. I also think the books are going to fold up isnt nearly as threatning as before and in reality we avoided almost all disaster with this happening.

Curious as to what you guys think about this? Are you noticing major steps going forward or are you a litte frustrated like myself with the pace of this and how it is going?

Waiting for the Gov. thing to blow over....it All Depends

No one is eager to step up to the plate to replace Neteller in what would be for sure a very profitable business. Frankly no one wants to challenge the US worlwide authority which is pretty sad.

It will never go back to the way it was without regulation which is still 5-6 years away

I thought it would all come tumbling down come Sept and football.

I thought Wil would be working 24/7 trying to get guy's paid as last summer everyone was in line waiting for thier withdraws.

So it wasn;t as bad as I expected, actually kind of smooth.

I'm thinking though these shops are having trouble making profits since the port authority thing as the squares lose money then don't redeposit because of all the hassles and in turn lose interest so volume is down and only semi sharp and very sharp punters hang around.

Thankfully, companies like the greek have developed inovative ways of getting money out that work just as good as neteller ever did for me. Getting it in is SLIGHTLY more difficult, but if you have the will there is no problem.

I'm getting killed on withdrawal fees with certain books that make it easiest for me to deposit. Other than that, there are options arising now that make like a lot easier. 30-50 dollars on processing checks is ridiculous imo.

Books seem mostly fine now. The shitty ones have faltered/stolen and we all know where to play.

It seems the owners now know the line and know not to come to the States.

Banks don't seem to mind wires and more and more are allowing online wires (which makes them like neteller).

It will be very hard for a new neteller to be born. One business would draw a lot of heat from banks. IT could be done, but would not involve EFTs. The best solution for a new neteller would be to set up with multiple bank accounts and only take/send cashier checks and wires.

How about Cris/Bookmaker $200 fee for book to book transfer with greek or matchbook. Anything over $1000 is $300! Matchbook doesn't charge anything for book to book transfers.

i think it sucks, im not a big bettor so me sending 300-500 and then having to pay 30 for a withdrawal or wait 2 weeks for a check etc SUCKS...i havent been playing at all, i wanted to bet the pats on wsex a week+ ago at -138 for a few hundred but its just too much of a pain in the ass...wsex used to be the best with 1 free withdrawl a month on neteller, id send in a second and when i wanted it back it would be in my neteller in less than an hour

Had to use MG for the first time.....it was relatively easy but I'm not a fan.

Sportsbetting took a hit (not as much line-shopping), but I can always find ways to put in bets (I have 2 locals + offshore).

The one that stings me is online poker...everyone who plays is a little better than the old days and I don't get to play at partypoker anymore (that was by far my favorite site)
