This car has me puzzled. It has a new starter and I just put new plugs and wires on it.

and at times it has trouble starting. It will crank and crank but won't fire. Sometimes it takes a few times, others it starts right up. it is worse when its cold, or hasn't been kept in the garage

It is an older car, a 95 Integra with 170K miles on it. hell, its just in its prime but has been nothing but trouble the past few months.

Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking fuel pump, maybe it is. but it doesn't start any quicker when i pump the gas a few times. it is fuel injected too.....who knows

And if the Road Warrior says it, it must be true..

I had a similar problem once with an S-10 pickup, and it was the fuel pump going bad. Some little wheel or cog or whatever inside of it had a deadspot or something, and it would get caught sometimes amd leave me cranking and cranking. I carried a rubber mallet with me and would bang on the gas tank whenever it happened, and that would usually free it up and then it would start...until it finally went kaput altogether.

Yes check the fuel filter. Your fuel line could be clogged as well. Pumping the gas pedal does nothing as it is an electronic switch.
