ipod is lock????? help

my new ipod is locked??????it shows a lock and i cant get it to work...........i am currently on paridise island and need help???????

what to do??????????

Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Exactly if it doesnt work go down to Bell Captain station for the Royal Towers and ask for a dude named Vaughen Miller he is a bellman there and is pretty good at this stuff. Tell him the Michael Jordan of BJ says hello.
