I think without a doubt it has. Not saying this is a bad thing either. Just an observation.
What I mean is there will always be talk about the games and the lines that go with them but overall I do feel that there is a way bigger focus on talking about sports (steroids, Pats perfect run, etc) than hardcore gambling topics (books, ways to win).
Wondering if others agree with this statement?
A few reasons I feel this way are: (in no particular order)
Maybe it is because 1) most of the gambling stuff has been hashed and rehashed on these type boards in the past. The crowd is smarter nowadays and has shared alot of inof. 2) alot less people are playing offshore so comparing books/lines just isnt as interesting as before. 3) I think most players have dropped their level of seriousness towards betting down a half notch the past year. 4) Throw in the fact I think the crowd is much younger than the past and they are more interested in talking everyday sports than everyday gambling (which may contradict #1).
I am not all saying the popularity of the site has went down as the numbers have continued to grow every month here. The site is growing daily and breaking records all the time. I just think the type of threads have changed alot in the past year. The more I think about it this seems to be the the norm at all the gambling forums I read. Maybe I am totally wrong. Was wondering if it is just me or have others felt the same way? Thanks for the feedback.
