Whats the deal with Shockey?
Is/was Eli intimidated by him or something? Ever since Shockey hasn't been around he is an entirley different QB from my limited observations.

YES, this was in the NY Newspapers about a week ago.

It was said that Eli was kind of Forced into Looking for Shockey 4 out of 5 plays or something like that.

And that Ever since Shockey has been Out...It has made Eli a Better QB

Yes, it seems like he dosen't have to worry about pacifying Shockey.

Hmmm, interesting observation and never really thought about that. Easy E is spreading the ball around and not locking in on players.

Random quote from the movie Coming to America:

Prince Akeem: Sir, did you happen to catch the professional football contest on television last night?
Cleo McDowell: No, I didn't.
Prince Akeem: Oh sir, the Giants of New York took on the Packers of Green Bay. And in the end, the Giants triumphed by kicking an oblong ball made of pigskin through a big "H". It was a most ripping victory.
Cleo McDowell: Son.
Prince Akeem: Yes?
Cleo McDowell: If you want to keep working here, stay off the drugs.
Prince Akeem: Yes.

I don't think Shockey is much of a team player myself. Boss has filled in nicely.

If Strahan retires after this year, would any one agree for trading Shockey for a DE? It's obvious Shockey isn't needed to win and the Giants seem to be doing a lot better without him?

If we can find a team with a need at TE and excess DE, we could be looking good for next season.

Thoughts?

There are greater needs at CB and LB and as the above poster mentioned Tuck just reupped for a long term to be the eventual successor to Skinny Mike.

Completely missed the Tuck Re-up. Good call.

Possibly get a LB or CB then. Just a thought.

They were talking about this topic on Inside The NFL last week. They were saying that it looks as though Eli is playing better without Shockey in the game. They made a point about how Shockey is always complaining to Eli during the game about how he is always open and to throw him the ball more. They stated it appears Eli looks much more relaxed during the games now.

Since Shock-Jock ( as I like to call him ) signed on the dotted line ...He "thinks" he has " Star-Power " Hanging out with the Hollywood type

Kind of Reminds me of another Player....Hmm was a Seahawk....???
I forget his name ???

Anyway...Shockey is just a Cry-Baby....and the Giants need to send him packing next year

Shockey is all talk, not a great route runner, doesn't block extremely well and pisses off Eli and the O-Line.

We got the BOSS now, its all good.

What a draft this was last year. Outside of Koets, everyone else panned out.
