Spent a few days as a rookie in Vegas about a week and a half ago. Spent my time downtown and had a blast. Stayed at the Nugget, played and watched games at all the sportbooks downtown. Nugget and the Plaza were my favorites for watching the games, atmosphere. My best luck was at Fitzgerald's though. The Fremont St. Experience overhead show was a blast. Food was great and reasonable. Was up on Saturday only to give it all back and then some on Sunday. Overall, an enjoyable time and I'm booking my "strip" trip in February already.

Just from my "few days" experience, it looks like it would be a blast of a job to work at these sportsbooks.

My only negative was that these books except Binions limited my college basketball wagers to a dime and they had to get Manager approval for that. I had to go from book to book to get a major bet down before the tip. I was moving fast down Fremont St.

Usually the manager comes out, takes one quick look at me, and approves. I look like a square :sad3:

I had the same problem last year with limits Downtown as i was loading up on Florida's m/l during the Sweet 16 and Elite 8. Likewise I had to hussle between books as tip approached. Thank goodness the books are right next door in comparison to the Strip where you find yourself 30 minutes between books because of distance and human traffic.

Going to be there for Play in game and first two rounds. Cant wait
