How is this hotel? Anyone seen it (esp you GD). Looks nice but I hate the Wynn...this looks similar (although I heard it is an extension of Venetian)

The Palazzo is a luxury hotel and casino resort located on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Palazzo is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Sands. The property's design and theme is reflective of modern European ambiance and luxury living.

Parts of the resort were opened to the general public on December 30, 2007.[1] The official grand opening took place on January 17, 2008.

The $1.8 billion resort features a Lobby where guests from the street arrive beneath a 60-foot (18 m) glass dome with a two-story fountain. Those approaching from The Venetian make the transition through a towering octagonal structure, itself topped by a glass-and-iron dome. Visitors to The Palazzo using the underground parking structure can take elevators or escalators from the underground garage and arrive in the center of the property's casino.

Though marketed and portrayed as a stand-alone resort, The Palazzo is actually an extension of The Venetian Casino Resort and the Sands Expo complex on the Las Vegas Strip.[citation needed] The Palazzo Casino, like some other casinos on the strip, operates under the license of a related casino. In this case The Venetian's license. The resort's 642-foot high hotel tower features 3,068 all-suite rooms and 375 concierge-level suites.

Funny that you guys bring this Place up. Received something in the Mail Sat., to come to check out....
Going out to Vegas for SB..but I'm going back out there in the begining of March....

Problem is, I don't like the Venetian.....so I guess I won't like this.

Also Agree with shdw01, Didn't like the Wynn either.

Have not been, but have several friends working at the Venetian that have checked it out.

Reviews less than glowing, basically it is an extension of the Venetian. Bar was set high there and they did nothing to differentiate.

No sports book or poker room in the Palazzo, gotta use the Venetian.

When Wynn opened I was underwhelmed as well as I felt it was basically a carbon-copy of Bellagio.

They are going to build a Walgreen's right between the Venetian and the Palazzo. Bet that will look pretty on the postcards.:lolBIG:

The Palazzo rooms are very nice. The casino area seems nicer than the Venetian. I was there little over a week ago.

What is the point of continuing to waste money building these clone casino resorts?

What does this place offer that the 20+ other casino hotels on the strip don't?
