No, but it is not totally out of the question - they've got 1 or 2 more rings in them easy though

They have to win one more game this year before that even becomes a legitimate topic.

if they win the super bowl this year and then lose just TWO games next year it will be one of the most remarkable feats in recent pro sports history.

How about the next three years? Or four? Or 10? I mean, if we're going to be silly, let's go all out here.

I'd probably put it at 12-1 or so. Schedule looks fairly easy next year. Slightly less than 10% chance...

I beleive the longest UNBEATEN streak is the Philly Flyers who went 35 Unbeaten, but back then there was ties in the NHL.

... of course if they don't go 38 in a row people on this board will call them chokers.

In recent??? How about ever.

you might be right. i just chose to err on the side of playing it safe. i try to avoid hyperbole whenever possible. its hard to compare all sports throughout the last 50-60 years. but i think we can both agree that if new england goes undefeated this year and then manages just 2 losses next year, it will be a truly remarkable, absolutely amazing feat. pats fans should be happy with 19-0 this year and 13-3 next year.

and if peyton manning doesnt throw 50 TDs and win the SB next year, you will be calling him a choker too.<!-- / message -->

perhaps. but the point is that (and we are back to this topic once again, and its not worth going down the road) guys are so quick to measure a guys worth by how many championships hes won. only 1 team can win a title every year. and when the two best teams are in the same conf, as they have been for quite awhile (ne and indy) it makes it even tougher to win. peyton manning had a great season this year, and he played damn solid in the loss to san diego. he didnt win b2b super bowls. oh well. hes still an amazing qb and one of the best ever. and the same applies to brady and new england. new england could go 8-8 next year and it wont tarnish what brady has accomplished. and you know what? 8-8 in the modern nfl isnt totally impossible. so many teams have done it coming off great yrs. just enjoy indy/neng and manning/brady without everyone pitting two of the best ever against one another.

I worked at the old met and was at that game, one of the loudest sporting events I have ever attended. It was louder then any of the 87 + 91 world series games and the 98 Vikings choke championship game.

Unlikely, but if the pats win the next one then you will next year after they win the first game or two or three that they have not lost in 23 straight games ...etc etc etc...

Pats are going to get some young blood on defense at linebacker. They can improve.

Didn't USC run off 30+ before they got shell-shocked from mr. wonderlic?

Brady is nowhere near as good as Leinart....

They have a very easy schedule for next year. But that doesn't mean a team in their division...like the Jets..won't beat them next year. A team winning the SB always has a target on their back and the Pats will have the LARGEST target on theirs!
