One of my graduate classes is called Professional Selling. The gig is I am a business rep and have to come up with a product or service to sell to another business. Any ideas on any products or services i can do?

A couple ideas i had so far was a Hershey rep and selling candy. Another idea was parking meters that you dont use change, but rather dollar bills and debit cards. The last idea was a sporting goods rep who sells equipment to high schools and colleges.

It cant be alcohol, drugs, gambling, or anything illegal for the wisecracks out there.

a service that only costs $99/month but gives really fast score and injury updates, tracks line movements, and much more!

no cell phones, no tv's, no ipods no lawn services, no painting companies..

yikes...

how about a service you provide that tracks the company's sales goals or reps goals, distribute it daily via email or fax to create competition within the organization, thus boosting revenue for the company.

The most money comes from the youngins...old people are mostly good with money.

If I recall, the hottest selling concert in the last 4,500 years was Hannah Montana....anything that has to do with her or HSM is gold....why, cause it appeals to the audience that spends the most money (of their parents)

think of what these kids want and go from there

I seen arnold schwarzenegger even rob his neighbor's house for a turbo man doll.

If it comes with a popup blocker - you may have a winner.

Great point!

Thats exactly why my wallet is thin, oh and add the cost of living here in the Aloha State to that as well.

Kids will make you spend that money!

I did one of these in college where I was a real estate agent who stopped by a house that had a "for sale by owner" sign listed in their yard. I sold the person on all the benefits of listing it with an agent vs. the headaches they could run into trying to sell it themselves.

Vending might be the way to go. Vending is a great business. It is also good for the business to have vending machines for the employees and customers. It is nice that at anytime an employee can wonder into the breakroom and grab a pop or a bag of chips to get them by before lunch. It is also nice that the business can either tell the vending comonay to keep the prices at a certain and in exchange they don't get a % of the profit.

Vending is an employeeless kind of business. Right now my machines are making money. They never call in sick or go on strike. Best of all it's a CASH business.

One big negative is finding the spots to place the machines. Sucks when the best spot you have goes belly up and nobody tells the vending guy. Or when you have to deal with a bunch of women that tell you they want healthy things in there, you buy them and the bitches never eat it anyway. Fuck that shelf life of a candy is like almost forever (not that they last that long).

Good luck.

I would quit my day job if I could just get a hospital or a huge auto plant (that wasn't closing)

Any company that has atleast 12 employess and is not right next to a 7-11 or gas station is a nice location. Outside parks or even inside a huge mall. I notice them everywhere now that I own them.

Good Ides PBR but my wife's business just started a program to other those people that will take them from start to finish for a 1 time fee and that they close with her company. I think its a good idea people hate giving 6% of what they make away.
