Ford has always had box office appeal since his role as Hans Solo in Star Wars plus the Indiana Jones movies. His most acclaimed work was as Detective John Book (Oscar nomination)in the movie Witness. He was awarded the The AFI Life Achievement Award in 2003. Ford is also active in wildlife preservation and has received some awards for his work.
Soon to be released is Indiana Jones and Kingdom of The Crystal Skull. Directed by Steven Spielberg and written by George Lucas promises to be a blockbuster.
