KIRKLAND -- The Seahawks have lost more than an assistant coach. They just lost a large part of their history.
Jim Zorn, the team's original quarterback who has coached the position the past seven seasons, agreed Friday to become the offensive coordinator with the Washington Redskins.
Zorn reportedly will sign a three-year contact to join a team that continues to search for a head coach to replace the recently re-retired Joe Gibbs.
Zorn, 54, met with Redskins owner Daniel Snyder this week. He returned to Seattle to discuss the situation with the Seahawks, but decided the move to the Redskins was his best option.
