Went to the sporting goods store today and talked for a while about the changes in technology and the differences in racquets with a helpful employee.
I haven't picked up a tennis racquet in about 15 years and am going to purchase one as I'm taking on a friend of mine soon, when I get in shape.
I'm not a power hitter by any means and don't intend to get the top of the line product either.

What kind of racquet would you recommend for a returning/basically beginner player? Something to start out with and if I do take it up more competitively then I would get a better one.

I did brought Head racket for about 20-30 bucks at Target about 4-5 years ago. I'm sure you'll find some decent brand cheap racket to start out with to get used to titanium/technology change. The thing I liked about it was the little bigger hitting area. You might wanted to check out Dick's Sporting Goods store to see what was available.

Just unscrew your old Wilson Kramer from the press.

You might consider a Brew Line. I know that's the choice of many fine players, such as Mr. Pitt.

Indeed, i'd heard that as well. I would also suggest not to use the racket that Milos endorses...he's quite horrible.

"Another win for Milos!"
