Anyone have a Sam's Club card? I've been eating healthy/working out lately and I like it, however, when your eating like 5-6 small meals a day it can get expensive. I think I can probably get stuff like turkey, eggs, tuna a lot cheaper there.....Anyone use this place and think its excellent value? Do they try to rip you off at all with the membership?

Any story appreciated...

Guess it shows the versatility of this board if I'm asking this!

sam's club is good, if you need/want to buy things in bulk. Never been ripped off there.

I have Costco and BJ's, no Sam's nearby. All are good and cost about $40-50 a year.

Lots of good deals, but some things are sold in too huge containers. I don't need mayo, mustard, ketchup, etc. in 64 ounce containers or 4 dozen eggs.

You can beat them on stuff like pop at the supermarket on sale. Very good for non-perishable stuff like toilet paper, pet food.

Worth having.

Excellent for beef-a-reeno if you have a horse and carraige. Sams Club is awesome.

Sams club is great for business owners. I get many things cheaper from them than I can get from my food distributors like US Foods adn such.

I see people buy stuff that looks like it is headed for vending machines.

I like Costco better. It is employee-owned, while Sams Club is owned by the evil empire Wal-Mart.

No surprise at all to me. I thought of you when posting that, but couldn't remember your exact handle.

Restaurant owners/ convenience store owners are buyers too. A few cases of stuff like snapple in various flavors instead of a pallet of it from a distributor.

48 packs of cheese and crackers or some crap for $6 or so are great for vending machines at 50-60-75 cents.

Whenever I go to Sams somehow I end up with 150 bucks worth of nothing but junk food. Right now I'm working on a garbage can full of cheeseballs and a 100 pack of slim jims among other things.

I love the jars (46 oz ?) of cashews for about 10-12 dollars. Lots of good furniture deals.

Costco has awesome seafood.

FYI

Costco has the BEST prices on tires. Bought Michelins for the gf's Jeep. Couldn't beat the price anywhere. All warrantied up and done in under an hour.

While they put them on, I was able to hit the food court and blow more money in the store. I personally am a big fan of the dried fruit/nut mix that comes in large resealable bags.:103631605
