The AAFL draft is happening today

Had no idea but stumbled onto it searching on the web.

That's the All-American Football League slated to start this spring.

A few recognizable names: Team Florida will have Chris Leak at QB and Peter Warrick at WR.

Former Heisman winner Eric Crouch was the first pick for Team Texas.

Team Tennessee will have Tee Martin and Bryan Randall at QBs, Woody Dantzler, and He Hate Me Rod Smart on the roster.

Yeah, I think there should be demand for football most the year and I don't see a reason why a league like this can't survive. I think the XFL had some good ideas, but just didn't have the right brains behind it.

I think Cuban is the main one behind this league, isn't he? They need to get some more publicity. Not sure if it's this or next year they actually start playing.

The All American Football League® is a for-profit, professional football league.

Teams will initially operate as divisions of League whose football operations will be run by a quasi-independent board and General Manager. Some of the League's teams will be hosted by universities with Division IA football programs and other teams will play in independent venues. Games will be scheduled in the spring and early summer.

League teams will employ only those players who have both completed their college football eligibility and earned a four-year degree. This policy is expected to have a very positive impact on universities' NCAA Graduation Success Rate and their Academic Progress Rate. To the extent practical, graduates of host universities will play for the team hosted by their alma mater.

The League intends that each League team will sell memberships to its fans and supporters. Members may be entitled to renewable season tickets in preferred locations, preferred parking, and other "insider" benefits. The League also hopes to provide Members access to high-definition private broadcasts of League games.

United Football league is scheduled to start in the fall, games will be played on Friday nights. This is the league that Cuban is involved in. I believe it will be an 8 team league with teams in LA, Vegas, Mexico City, NY, possibly London as well. I think they would be better off playing in the spring as well, possibly merging with the AAFL down the road.

i hope they last a l ong time.as long as they have the backing and can put most of the people in the seat sand can pac the stadium.its got to have more coverage than the xfl got from the media.a positive thing mark cubans got golden hand on the league.cuspiz i hope you enjoy watching whatever the hell you watch.the nfl might have the best players in the world.take a look at damion harrel,clint doziel,mark crieb,ben nelson,marcush nash,will petis,derick lee,chris jackson.what these players have in common is they all play in the areana football and they are real good players.try to watch wat you call rubish.its somethig to watch.
