Is this a sport?

Who decided to go do a back flip on a snowmobile?

What is next? freestyle golf carting?

No idea who, but I remember seeing a video of the first guy to attempt it, or at least the first guy to attempt it on film. The first couple of attempts he had to bail and the thing nearly came down on top of him, though it was pretty cool when he finally landed it.

As for the freestyle golf-carting...I don't think we'll be seeing that anytime soon, but I could easily see a golf cart rally or something like that.

As a person who regularly snowmobiles, I will tell you it really should be a sport. VERY physically demanding activity, especially through deep snow. Add tricks and even more danger to it and you've got freestyle snowmobiling.

I may be wrong, but I want to say that someone has pulled off a double back flip.

Enjoy it while it lasts, because they'll push this shit until people start dying.

Once people start dying it'll be even more of a hit. NASCAR is a prime example.

Occasionally people die in skiing, but I always thought it was much more common for a world-class skier to die by messing around on blue slopes than for them to die on the race course. I never got the feeling that the danger aspect was a draw to watching skiing, if they fly off the trail into the woods or something you don't really get to see them, not like the big explosions in NASCAR.
