I for one would love to see a replay of the UNLV - N Carolina game from the 1977 NCAA tourney. Aside from the no shot clock and no 3 pointers and the NC stalling( 4 corners). The refs really stole that one. I suspect it was with NCAA blessing as the NCAA really had it out for them back then. If I remember correctly, they were ranked #4 and had to play #1 ranked San Francisco and Bill Cartwright in the first round . I think UNLV won 121-85 LOL. They could never get away with screwing a team like that in the post ESPN world.
We were up 5 with a 1:30 to go in the game and missed several key free throws in that time period. Also they should have let Johnson run the point after the terrible Anthony call. I told people all year he had handles and they all laughed at me. The officiating did not help and there were some terrible calls, but we were up 5 with a 1:30 to go.
Therefore, flag on the play for this inaccurate comparision. :nono5:
i was waiting to see you post pitt / sea in there as well. offensive pass interference in the end zone negating a td.kinda hard when he was using both hands to catch the ball. gotta make sure jerome got that ring after all the hype about him making it in his hometown. but yeah unlv was a bad game as well.
