That is what I have, and after 2 years had a problem with the Motherboard......Cost $275 to fix.
Paid $1500 for it brand new...when I went to Toshiba online to find out what to do...they said..TIME FOR A NEW LAPTOP or it would cost around $800 to fix
I said , After 2 Years ???? Yeah well they are made to Only last about 2 Years ..............???
Took it to Local and they charged me $275..Just Like New !
1 - 2 years is not old enough to scrap.
You said cannot system restore...is the system restore through windows or by using a CD that came with the computer.
If you are doing the 1st, you have to do the second. If you dont have a CD, ask Acer....if they are being an ass, i suggest finding some form of windows and formatting the damn thing. I heard the biggest websites for key freezing is from gay porn sites....

If you do not have a Recover Disc for the Acer Try this
