Along that same line? Do you think the Packers would have made it as far as they did w/o Favre and Brady instead? In my opinion its not even close. I also think that the Pats probably make the Super Bowl (although not undefeated, and with very different numbers) with Cassel as their QB. I really, honestly think that Brady is overrated. I'd put him top 10 in the league right now, probably top 5, but certainly not of all time.
Championships do not always equal greatness. Look at Robert Horry, etc.
You can not truly believe the shit you are spitting out of your mouth right now.
Robert Horry never set NBA records for points scored, and he was never a superstar. All great QB's have great lines. The 49'ers, Cowboys, The Colts, and the Bronco's all had great lines. Hell Favre's Packers line was unbelievable when he won the Superbowl.
Let me point something out, and I'm not a Patriots fan, the Patriots never had the weapons that the Colts had. Everyone loves Manning and wants to jump on his wagon. His postseason numbers aren't comparable to Brady's, and he has had a hall of fame receiver, a pro bowl receiver, and a pro bowl TE for the last 4 seasons. He also had a pro bowl running back. He still didn't beat Brady and the Patriots.
You're saying Brady might be one of the top 5 QB's in the league right now? You must truly hate Brady. There are only two QB's in the NFL that are even allowed to be mentioned at the top. Brady and Manning, and finally we have been able to see what Brady would do with top tier weapons and a great line - which Manning has had for a long time now - and what he did was beat Peyton's record. They are very comparable but after this year I'd have to say that Brady is better.
I do not understand how he is overrated. It isn't like he has been a product of a system. The Patriots would be nothing w/o Brady; just like the Colts would be nothing w/o Manning.
