lol, wvu u are way to sharp to think this is gonna be how it is at michigan... wait til belein gets his players before judging, i know u wont be suprised with the results which will be plenty of W's... u need to let this era of wvu sports go, its over and its definitely not going to be very pretty for the football team in a couple of years...

scary to think it was probably fab five years. fisher gets a bad rap, but he was good for the michigan program and its gone downhill since.

I still don't get how WVU fans can rationalize the hiring of Huggins and criticize the departure of JB or RR.

Huggins was available in 2006 ... a free agent ... nobody wanted him .. even WVU didn't want him ... KSU took a chance on him ... and in 2007, buying out his KSU contract is "coming home"?????

yeah cinci you are right. RR left in a complete different way that JB left. I am just bitter, but it doesn't stop me from wishing failure on the entire Michigan athletic program. I am sure Belein will do much better with his own recruits, but he will never have it as good or as much success as he did at WV. Same goes for RR.

BINGO, its because all the hicks in this state dont understand that... its ok for the basketball program to do the same thing to kansas st. but when it happens to them its holy fucking war... just look at how badly this university is screwed up with the likes of the phony governor joe manchin involved in the head coach search... i mean come on cant they make their own decision, just an ego maniac... thats how goofy this school and state runs... i never saw governors or political people get involved with urban meyer going to florida or charlie weis going to notre dame and in the end wvu ends with gomer pyle i mean bill stewart because he wins one game... it will be comical in two or three years in morgantown...

hahaha. Stop being mad. He wont have the same success u say. Watch him when he gets his players in the system. the dumbass(our last coach, wont respect him by saying his name.) left the program fucked up. Belein system is keeping us competitive in some games with a horrible team. He wont be successful you must havent watch big ten bball lately. He can get in the top three of that divison in no time.

Dumb post. Hasn't had any time to get his type of players in place yet. At least he will have a chance to compete for big things at this school as opposed to that dump down south.

I think the biggest get from WVU is Mike Barwis. It helps that our strength and conditioning was antiquated to realize what a gem this guy is. Barwis alone will improve the Michigan Football program. Current players already benfitting from him; recruits rave about him after visits. I heard Slaton is heading up (is up) in Ann Arbor to train with Barwis.

Anyway...thanks West Virginia.

Belein's a great coach and will turn Michigan into a contender in 3-4 years. After that, the Big 10 is in trouble.

No one had any expectations for UM this year.

Time will tell. I agree he is a great coach, but it takes more than that and a .200 season doesn't help recruiting

Actually Beilein's best players at Richmond and WVU weren't his recruits...

At Richmond he took his team to the tourney twice as their coach...his 1st year where none of the players were his recruits. He also went his final year as the Richmond coach and his best player was a transfer who was the younger brother of a guy who played 3 years at Richmond before Beilein got there.

The best players Beilein coached at WVU weren't his recruits either...Pittsnoggle, Gansey, etc...were there before Beilien got there.

I'm positive about the Richmond stuff...pretty sure about the WVU facts...but too lazy to look it up.

RR might have success at Mich ... he might even win a couple of Big Ten titles and BCS title ...

... BUT ...

... at WVU, he had a shot at having a stadium ... or a pavilion ... or a practice facility named after him ... he was destined for a lot more than a paycheck or a BCS title ... a WVU grad coaching his alma mater ... and that is why I think RR shouldn't have gone to Michigan ... At Mich, he'll NEVER be better than Bo ... but at WVU, his legacy could have surpassed that of DN ...
