For some time now (many years) the team that loses in the superbowl is lucky to be near .500 the year after the defeat in the superbowl..

Is there anyway possible that this scenerio happens to the PATRIOTS??

IS THE JINX REAL>????

i.e. - Chicago BLEW DONKEY this year...was it their QB problem?? or is their something much deeper????..../Seattle blew last year but more because The MADDEN CURSE(Shaun Alexander out for most of season)...but was that the reason?? or the superbowl jinx???/ EAGLES BLEW since they had a "shot"..lol ...but was it the drama between mcnabb and owens, or the jinx??? coincidence??? i dunno /

any thoughts greatly appreciated. :smoker2:

If the Pats CAN cheat.... they will be in the playoffs

If the Pats CANT cheat.... they will be 8-8 and the Bills will win the East!

Yes, it is real and not a jinx. There are several reasons including getting fat and happy and resting just a little bit. Tougher schedule. Football is all emotion or at least a LARGE %. It is hard to come back after winning it all and maintain that level. Pats have struggled at times after we won our Super Bowls.

NE is most likely gonna have some free winners in their candy division. Jets, Bills, and Fish will provide a road to the post season.

I don't see any reason why they won't be contending for the SB next year. The real bears team showed up this year. The Pats need to get younger on defense and they will be fine.

.500 is probably out of the question. thats a little too precipitous a dropoff, even though history says its possible.

but if new england goes 13-3 or better, it will be a remarkable accomplishment.

probably an 11-5 or 12-4 type season next year. they will not sweep the afc east in 2008.

wouldnt count them out of making another super bowl run.

but its highly doubtful they have the nfls best record next season, or even the afcs best regular season record for that matter.
